Solving systems of equations
Solve one equation for one variable, then substitute the result into the next equation
Why does that work? It constrains the solutions to only ones that work with both equations.

Jackie and Rachel both worked during last summer and made $960.00 each. Rachel worked 16 hours more than Jackie, but Rachel earned $2.00 less per hour. How many hours did Jackie work?
